Black Heritage Day
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ spotlights the contributions of black pioneers to the cultural achievement and heritage of the city of Houston and the state of Texas on this day. Schools, youth groups and other special entertainment performs around Reliant Park throughout the day. Gladys Knight and Solange entertained 49,471 fans in Reliant Stadium in 2009.
